Research
Since 2019, the FACIAM network has been consolidated in the generation of knowledge. At that time we began a new line of joint work to accompany the social intervention from the analysis and transfer this analysis to the actors who play a role in homelessness. This line of work that we have consolidated provides data and analysis of the reality of homelessness from the situation of the people we accompany, providing the sectors involved with proposals and strategies to follow.
We establish a framework of partnership with academia by involving ourselves in parallel with our social intervention. We generate knowledge that helps us to achieve effectiveness and efficiency, to identify relevant findings and provides us with support for raising awareness and advocacy in the search for reactive, but above all preventive, solutions to homelessness situations.
Objectives
The impact of the pandemic on the health, welfare and living conditions of homeless people.
The report “Social exclusion and COVID-19: the impact of the pandemic on the health, welfare and living conditions of homeless people” analyzes the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the health, quality of life and living conditions of people in situations of homelessness and residential exclusion in Spain.
On the other hand, in addition to analyzing the impact of the pandemic, it attempts to delve into the transformations generated by COVID-19 in the life trajectories that lead to homelessness.
This website offers the general conclusions of the report, which has been carried out by FACIAM with the collaboration of the University Institute of Development and Cooperation of the Complutense University of Madrid.
